Member Benefits
The Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) is an international association that supports federal, state, and local agencies and policies that promote sustainable transportation options. Join | Renew
By becoming an ACT member you not only help support this cause, but your membership also gives you access to ACT's member-exclusive benefits. For more information, view our ACT Membership Brochure
ACT Chapters
When you become an ACT member, you also become a member of your local ACT Chapter. Chapters are formed to carry out the aims and purposes of ACT on a local or regional basis, and they target their services and programs for their membership territory. Many chapters host local conferences and provide net-working opportunities throughout the year. Chapters provide additional opportunities for members to get involved in ACT through their own boards and committees.
ACT International Conference
Held in a different city every year, these annual conferences allow ACT members to participate in the industry's premier professional development, networking and information-gathering events. These events include workshop sessions, professional development sessions, awards ceremony (all ACT members are eligible for awards), educational off-site tours and dine-arounds that connect you with professionals in your TDM field.
National Councils
Councils are comprised of experienced ACT representatives who provide our members with expertise and networking focused on a specific issue that is common throughout the country. Our National Councils include the Employer Council, Public Policy Council, Telework Council, University Council, Van Pool Council, and the Transportation Management Association (TMA) Council.
Advocacy

Legislative E-Lerts
ACT sends e-mail messages directly to all its members, notifying them of current action alerts and public policy news. These up-to-date e-mails keep ACT members informed of how these policies will affect them, which policies to support, and how to support them.
