ACT Councils Provide Value
Membership in ACT provides you with the resources of an international organization and the support of a regional affiliate of experienced Transportation Demand Management (TDM) professionals. From networking and educational events through professional development and government relations support, ACT advances the effectiveness of our transportation system.
ACT Councils provide functional expertise and networking for its members in specific issue or professional areas. Committees focus on the operational activities, such as the National Conference, Awards, Professional Development or Elections and Bylaws.
Councils focus upon the issues and program areas common to nearly all areas around the country. Councils are open to ACT members with an interest in these areas with an attempt to draw representatives from each chapter acting as a liaison. Councils serve members through periodic conference calls for information sharing, articles in TDM Review, sessions at the annual conference, testimony or policy memos to government agencies, and liaison with other organizations.
