Capitol Area Commutes: Implementing TDM around the Minnesota State Capitol

Peter Musty - Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board, St. Paul, Minnesota

Peter Musty is a principal planner with the State of Minnesota, bringing an architectural perspective to zoning and TDM initiatives for 8,000+ State of Minnesota employees on the Capitol Campus. He will report on the process of developing the Capitol Area Commutes partnership, the results of a large employee commute survey, and where the group is going next.


Starting a new TMA in Rochester's Destination Medical Center

Nick Lemmer - City of Rochester, Minnesota

Rochester is home to Mayo Clinic, the state’s largest employer, and the future Destination Medical Center, a $5 billion economic development initiative, making it one of the fastest growing communities in Minnesota. One of the many programs flowing out of DMC is Arrive Rochester, a transportation management association (TMA) sponsored by the city and launched in October 2018 with the goal of catalyzing, through TMA tools and incentives, a shift in commuting habits of Rochester’s growing downtown workforce. Nick Lemmer is a veteran marketer who joined the City of Rochester, Minnesota Parking and Transit division in 2016.
