The global pandemic provided many of us the opportunity to reevaluate our outreach strategies and target audiences as worksites closed, transit ridership decreased, and congestion continues to increase and even surpass pre-pandemic levels. This shift has impacted us all differently and highlighted the importance of community-based outreach with an emphasis on diversity and equity. However, with change comes many questions: how do we identify the need, where do we start, who do we engage, how do we gain trust, and what does success look like?
The SEACT, Northern California, and Chesapeake Chapters are hosting a webinar with ACT’s DE&I committee to discuss just this. With the growing interest in transitioning to more community- based TDM efforts, ACT members and colleagues have their own experiences and best practices to share so that we can all be more equitable in our communities. Join us for a panel discussion highlighting programs, projects, and activists that have successfully engaged underserved communities, the unbanked, and communities of color.
ACT webinars earn attendees 1 credit towards TDM-CP recertification.
