NEW YORK, NY – Frank Mongioi, Senior Director, Transportation & Smart Mobility at ICF, was awarded the President’s Award for Exemplary Leadership at the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) National Awards sponsored by Luum during the ACT Virtual International Conference on August 5, 2020. Selected by ACT President Connie McGee, the Exemplary Leadership Award recognizes a member who has made significant contributions to the Association through leadership and engagement in ACT’s Board, chapters, councils, and committees.
“Frank has served six-years as a member of the Board of Directors,” said Connie McGee, ACT President. “During this time, he has participated in some of the organization’s most significant changes and achievements. He has helped form connections between ACT and outside organizations like the Transportation Research Board.”
“Frank currently serves as Chair of ACT’s Governance Committee,” continued McGee, “he has helped ACT formalize its governance processes that will, over time, strengthen the board and ensure ACT remains a healthy and vibrant organization for years to come.”
The fresh-start effect and a personal touch are key to influencing a commuter's choices. By combining them and creating new fresh-starts we may be able to break through strong commuting habits and reduce the number of cars on the road.
The pandemic-induced campus closure, which shifted thousands of UCLA employees into work from home arrangements, revealed some significant benefits, setting a course for telecommuting to continue down the road at the University.
