LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL – Allie Velleca, TDM-CP, Project Manager at AECOM, was awarded the President’s Emerging Leader Award at the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) National Awards Ceremony during the 35th Annual International Conference on August 4, 2021 at Walt Disney World Resorts. Selected by ACT President Connie McGee the Emerging Leader Award recognizes newer members who have made significant contributions to the Association and/or to the profession and have demonstrated the potential for leadership and continuing service.
“Allie has done a lot in a short period of time that many people take a career to accomplish,” said Connie McGee, ACT President. “Since joining ACT in 2019, Allie currently serves as Vice President of the SEACT Chapter and I was told by one of her fellow SEACT leaders that she always has a fun outlook and that they are lucky to have her.”
“Allie has recently also taken on the role of Chair of the Telework Council during a time where teleworking has become more widely explored and adopted worldwide,” continued Connie. “I am honored to present her the 2021 President’s Emerging Leader Award.”
