Reduce, Relocate, Revitalize: The Expedia Group Story

October 29, 2020

Description
Expedia Group (EG) relocated its headquarters from Bellevue to Seattle, WA in Fall 2019. During the four years prior to the move, Expedia Group phased-in commute programs and policies that expanded sustainable commute options and reduced single-occupancy car trips. This case study examines each policy change by mode; revealing details about intention, timing, and impact. No one mode is right for everyone—and the EG story is proof that flexibility and diversity of commute options is key to achieving lasting commute program success.

Tune in to learn how Expedia Group reduced their drive-alone rate from 60% to 38% in the three years before their relocation. In Q1 (pre-COVID) EG achieved a 13% drive-alone rate at their new Seattle waterfront campus.

This webinar precedes the release of a white paper that documents the commute story, policy changes, and behavior change by mode for Expedia Group in the past five years. The white paper was written and published by Expedia Group, Luum, and NelsonNygaard.
