PAL Mentoring Program

The ACT Peer Advisory Leaders (PALs) is a mentoring program that helps members who are new to ACT or TDM develop the skills and knowledge to become leaders in their own jobs, in the TDM industry, and within ACT.
The program runs on the calendar year, with mentors and mentees matched in February. It’s up to each mentoring pair to determine what their partnership will look like. The PALs committee supports with special webinars, social media, scheduled check-ins, and more. There are also networking social events during the International Conference to help long-distance PALs meet in person.

Become a Mentor!

Mentoring is a satisfying and rewarding experience and helps strengthen the next generation of TDM professionals. Mentors will ideally have prior ACT leadership experience and can help guide mentees through the Association at large, their regional chapter, TDM in general, and overall professional development.

Mentoring Opportunities:

  • ImpACT Mentor – Volunteer to provide ongoing support to an ImpACT! Leadership participant. Help them take their training to the next level by reviewing and building on what they learned during their leadership retreat. Get paired in February, and stay in touch as long as you wish.
  • PALs Mentor  - Commit to someone new to ACT and TDM by checking in with your mentee throughout the year. Set your schedule together and see how both your careers flourish.
  • Conference Buddies  - Make suggestions and provide guidance to someone who has never attended an ACT International Conference before. Get paired with a First Time attendee before the conference starts, and feel free to stay in touch with them afterwards. Meet in person at one of the Conference’s networking events.
