About ACT Councils

Now Accepting Council Leadership Nominations

ACT is seeking motivated members looking to be directly involved in shaping TDM and promoting ACT’s mission and vision as an elected leader of an ACT council.  This is your opportunity to utilize and develop leadership skills, elevate your professional voice within the industry, and advance key aspects of ACT’s strategic plan. Nominate yourself now to be a council leader! Deadline is September 16, 2022.

ACT Councils allow members to take a deeper dive in a topic of interest that relates to TDM.

There are currently seven (7) ACT councils:

Councils are member-driven, and not geographically constrained, and meet at least quarterly. Members can belong to as many councils simultaneously as they wish; there is no limit. Participating in a council (or councils) is a great way to get engaged with ACT and network with members in the same field and/or similar interests around the country.

Councils are led by member volunteers who are elected to serve two-year terms. Council leaders in coordination with council members, develop annual work plans that focus their activities to advance issues of interest. Each year, councils create a topic-specific resource, which provides deeper industry understanding and shares best practices. Councils also host two sessions every year at the International Conference. Read the Council Handbook for more information.

Council elections are held on even numbered years. During the first two weeks of September, members can nominate themselves to run for positions. The elections are held during the first two weeks of October. Elections will take place in 2022, 2024, 2026, and so on.

To get started with council participation, you must login to your ACT account and select 'Profile' then the 'Council & Chapter Information' tab.
