About ACT Councils

Participating in a council is a great way to get engaged with ACT and network with members in the same field and/or similar interests around the country.

Members can belong to as many councils simultaneously as they wish; there is no limit.

Councils are led by member volunteers who are elected to serve two-year terms. Council leaders, in coordination with council members, develop annual workplans based on their charters that focus their activities to advance issues of interest. Each year, councils create a topic-specific resource, which provides deeper industry understanding and shares best practices. Councils also host two sessions every year at the International Conference.
