2022 TDM Excellence Award: Leadership - Congressman Peter DeFazio (D-OR)

To wrap up the TDM Forum Excellence Awards luncheon, ACT recognized Congressman Peter DeFazio with the first ever TDM Excellence Award for Leadership. Congressman DeFazio has been a great ally of ACT for many years.  He has understood the importance of the role TDM plays in maximizing the efficiency of our transportation systems and creating affordable access for all people.  Most recently he served as Chair of the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure, where he authored and passed the House Moving Forward Act shaping the IIJA. 

Congressman DeFazio is retiring from the US House of Representatives after serving 18 terms in Congress, representing Oregon. His leadership and support of TDM will be missed. Congressman DeFazio was always available to ACT, meeting with members during a virtual briefing in the early days of the pandemic.
