ACT Awards
Honoring accomplished TDM professionals and organizations
ACT is proud to recognize the many noteworthy individuals and organizations in our midst for their accomplishments. The association presents awards on an annual basis including the ACT National Awards, President's Awards, TDM Excellence Awards, and 40 Under 40 Awards. In 2023, ACT also launched the TDM Hall of Fame, which honors the career achievements of extraordinary TDM professionals.
40 Under 40 Awards
ACT celebrates a group of young TDM professionals with the 40 Under 40 Awards at the annual TDM Forum. These awards are given to ambitious leaders working to find creative solutions to improve the quality of life of commuters and the livability of communities, and developing TDM programs that shift behavior. Transportation affects everyone, and these inspiring individuals are creating a better journey for everyone.
President's Awards
President's Awards are presented at the annual ACT National Awards ceremony by the association president. Categories include Emerging Leader, Chapter of the Year, TDM Champion, and Extraordinary Service/Exemplary Leadership.
TDM Excellence Awards
ACT's Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Excellence Awards honor outstanding performance and leadership in TDM by organizations. Award categories represent a range of sectors, including employers, hospitals, higher education, and large/small cities/regions.
The Excellence Awards shine a spotlight on the most exceptional examples of TDM leadership and implementation in the United States and recognizes the commitment of the organization to use TDM as an important strategy to improve the lives of commuters, enhance the livability of communities, and strengthen the economic competitiveness of businesses.
The selection of Excellence Award winners is made by ACT’s Executive Committee.
ACT National Awards
Each year, the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) recognizes and honors outstanding achievements in the field of Transportation Demand Management (TDM) at the annual ACT International Conference.
Winners of past awards have included individuals, public and private sector agencies, businesses, non-profit organizations, colleges and universities, business associations, transportation management associations, and transportation providers.
TDM Hall of Fame
TDM Hall of Fame recognition celebrates individuals who have performed exemplary work in TDM throughout their careers. This distinguished group has displayed continuous service to ACT and earned many accomplishments in the field. Through their achievements, these TDM champions have set the bar for excellence, impact, and success in the industry.
