Professional Bio

Briana Perez is an Associate Project Manager with the TDM team at Austin’s Transportation and Public Works (ATPW) department. Before joining the City of Austin, she was a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor serving multiple economic populations, where she focused on behavior change. This experience allowed Briana to sharpen her education and skills around behavior change, making her the subject matter expert on ATPW’s TDM team.

For the last four years, Briana has worked closely with community partners and City employees to elevate TDM strategies citywide. She has led the City’s Employee Commute Rewards Program, which encourages employees to commute sustainably through reducing single-occupancy vehicle trips and reaching the Austin Strategic Mobility Plan’s 50/50 mode share by 2039. In her free time, she enjoys reading, working out, spending time with family, and taking Oliver (her chunky, terrier-mix rescue) for walks.
