Join the Patriot Chapter's 2026 Fall Into TDM event!

The ACT Patriot Chapter’s Fall into TDM Summit is a two-day regional event bringing together Transportation Demand Management (TDM) professionals, partners, and practitioners from across the Northeast to connect, share ideas, and learn from one another. Held October 13–14 in Providence, Rhode Island, the Summit will feature presentations and discussions focused on real-world TDM programs, emerging strategies, lessons learned, and innovative approaches to helping people access more sustainable, affordable, and convenient transportation options.

Attendees will leave with practical ideas and examples they can apply within their own communities, workplaces, campuses, and programs; new perspectives on the challenges and opportunities shaping TDM across the region; and stronger connections with peers working toward similar mobility goals. The Summit is designed to be collaborative and engaging, creating space to exchange experiences, ask questions, build partnerships, and come away inspired with new approaches to advancing TDM.

Morning Tour 11:00-1:00
    Ride a zero-emission New Flyer bus directly to the Northeast’s first in-line electric bus charging station. This cutting-edge charging station can charge up to four electric buses simultaneously while they are in service. The facility also features driver restrooms and various site enhancements, including an on-site snow-melt system.
    Guided tours of the State House. Stops include the Rhode Island Charter Museum, the State Room, and the Rotunda with one of the world's largest, self-supported marble domes.
     Afternoon Tour 2:00-4:00
    Providence’s Shared Micromobility Program offers dockless electric bikes and scooters through three providers — Spin, Bird, and Veo — giving residents and visitors affordable, eco-friendly ways to get around the city. This tour will include a description of the program and a ride on one of the bikes or scooters.   
    Providence is one of the most walkable cities in the U.S., with a compact downtown and a network of pedestrian-friendly streets, parks, and historic districts. Its walkability score of 78/100 reflects the ease of getting around on foot, thanks to a grid-like street pattern, wide sidewalks, crosswalks, and bike lanes. The area blends historic architecture with modern attractions, from nationally recognized arts venues and top restaurants to world‑famous universities like Brown and RISD.
