Learn about previous ACT events
ACT provides year-round programming, full of events and meetings, from chapter, council, and committee meetings, to monthly webinars, and in-person events.
The association hosts in-person events including the annual International Conference, TDM Forum, and more. These events provide industry best practices; networking with other TDM professionals; and experiencing TDM in each host city.
ACT's Annual International Conference is the largest gathering of TDM professionals from across the United States, Canada, and around the globe. Attendees represent Fortune 500 companies, state/local DOTs, MPOs, transit agencies, TMAs, transportation service providers, consultants, and many other stakeholders working to improve transportation options for commuters and the sustainability of their communities. The International Conference spans four days and provides attendees with numerous opportunities for professional development, networking, and fun!
ACT's TDM Forum is a two-day event that provides an intimate gathering allowing you the opportunity to tackle the challenges facing TDM head on, while enabling you to network and build relationships with others from across the country. The TDM Forum focuses on recent industry research and provides a unique opportunity to dive deep into our host city's use of TDM strategies, through sessions, keynote addresses, and tours.
TDM Week is designed to create awareness among elected officials, DOTs, and government, transit, and planning agencies, of the importance to include safe and reliable alternative modes of transportation for all users in the transportation planning process. It also encourages employers to adopt TDM principles and programs within their corporate culture, whether in Human Resources or facility planning, to provide viable incentives and amenities that reduce the carbon footprint of their employees’ commute.
THE Climate ACTion Summit
In 2023, ACT hosted the THE (Transportation Helping our Environment) Climate ACTion Summit in Indianapolis. The event featured 1.5 days of panels, interactive discussions, and tours focused on tackling the climate impacts of our transportation choices.
ACT welcomed attendees to the 2023 D.C. Fly-In to get the inside scoop on TDM issues and policies affecting the industry. Fly-In participants engaged with subject matter experts and officials and had the opportunity to meet directly with staff from their members of Congress.
