Letter from the President January 2026
Dear ACT members,
ACT has been an important part of my professional journey since 2010. Over the years, this organization has helped me better understand the many roles and opportunities within the TDM field, while connecting me to a community of thoughtful, committed professionals who care deeply about this work.
As I step into the role of President, one priority is clear: TDM must be understood as a must-have, not a “nice-to-have.” Too often, TDM is treated as optional - something added when funding allows or conditions are ideal. We know better. TDM delivers real, measurable value, and our work is essential to improving quality of life in our communities.
This shift matters not only for the programs we deliver, but for the people who deliver them. We need more TDM programs, more leadership pathways, and more stable, rewarding career opportunities - so our members can build full careers in this field and have a lasting impact.
ACT has an important role to play in elevating TDM and the professionals who practice it, ensuring that our work is recognized, valued, and supported at the level it deserves.
I’m humbled by the responsibility of this role and energized by what lies ahead. I look forward to working together as we continue learning from one another and strengthening the future of TDM.
Thank you for all that you do, and for being part of this community. I encourage you to reach out with any questions or if you’d simply like to connect.
Warmly,
Courtney Reynolds, TDM-CP
President, ACT
