Connie McGee - Extraordinary Service/Exemplary Leadership

The Extraordinary Service / Exemplary Leadership Award recognizes a member who has made significant contributions to the Association through leadership and engagement in ACT’s Board, chapters, councils, and committees.

Connie McGee's leadership has left an extraordinary mark on ACT, shaping the organization at every level and guiding it with vision and care. Over more than a decade in the association, she has brought consistency and energy to her chapter, strengthened ACT through a time of transition, and helped set the course for the future. As Chapter President, Connie energized outreach and built membership. As Vice President of the Board, she played a critical role in stablizing the organization through uncertain times. Her leadership as President was equally impactful as she steered ACT through the challenges of the pandemic and ensured the organization emerged stronger than ever.

Even after her presidency, Connie has continued to lead with the same dedication and heart. She has chaired the Events Oversight Committee, guided ACT's strategic planning efforts, and helped shape a meaningful celebration of our 40th Anniversary. Congratulations, Connie!

Tom Harrington - TDM Champion

The TDM Champion Award recognizes a member who has made significant contributions to the industry and profession and have demonstrated commitment and dedication through leadership on the local and/or national level.  The TDM Champion Award is selected by the ACT National Board President and approved by the ACT Executive Committee.

Tom Harrington has set a high standard for what it means to be a TDM Champion. As Global Commute Solutions Leader at Intuit, he has spent more than a decade ensuring employers across North America, Europe, and the Middle East have access to sustainable and responsible commute options. His leadership has shaped a program that not only serves the company's workforce but also stands as an industry model. In 2018, Intuit's TDM program earned ACT's Employer Excellence Award under his guidance, and it continues to inspire what corporate mobility can achieve when done with vision and care.

Tom's impact extends far past his role at Intuit. He has served as Chair of ACT's Employer Council, advancing best practices and amplifying the employer voice within the TDM community. He also serves on the boards of MVgo, Legacy Connect, and Warners Connects, showing dedication to community-based solutions, Congratulations, Tom!

Northern California Chapter - Chapter of the Year

The Chapter of the Year Award is presented to the chapter that has demonstrated a significant contribution to the value of the national Association by hosting events and meetings that strengthen the community of TDM professionals locally and enhance the overall value of membership.  The Chapter should show an increase in membership numbers and a growth of member involvement within the chapter leadership.

The Northern California Chapter is a powerhouse of engagement, connection, and advocacy within ACT. Over the past year, its leaders and members have shown a remarkable commitment to advancing TDM and strengthening our community. Through standout events like Spring Into TDM, their TDM Week Happy Hour, and a Policy Happy Hour, the chapter has created spaces for education and collaboration that inspire both new and longtime members.

Their energy extends beyond just events, however. The chapter has encouraged its board members to actively promote ACT, which helps reinforce the value of membership and the growing the community's impact. They have also set a high bar in the policy arena, drafting a letter during California's budget debate and joining forces with the Southern California Chapter on ACT's Transit Commutes letter. Congratulations, Northern California Chapter!
