Learning objectives include:
  1. Travel options (e.g. carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, biking, walking)
  2. In context of funding (e.g., CMAQ, RAISE grant), legal definitions of travel options, which establish shared understanding.
  3. Understand how different travel modes may appeal more to different travel markets.  Mode share.
  4. Know how different travel modes are reinforcing when paired together, importance of bundling.
  5. Historical standard travel modes, and impact of technologies on emergence of new travel options (e.g., micromobility, microtransit, mobility-on-demand, etc.), challenges to implementing, pushback and response.
