Learn more about the legislation
Over the past year, ACT has worked closely with congressional offices to draft, refine, and build support for this legislation. Now, we're inviting all organizations aligned with our goal of expanding access to affordable transportation options, connecting families and communities, and increasing job access to join us by signing on to this letter.
This legislation will improve transportation efficiency by:
- Codifying a federal definition of Transportation Demand Management (TDM)
- Clarifying TDM as an eligible use of existing federal funding programs
- Providing dedicated funding to rural communities to implement TDM pilot programs to expand mobility and access to jobs
- Removing barriers that prevent small and rural communities from accessing Congestion Relief Program funds
