Event Details
Over here in ACT Higher Ed land, we’re still charged up about e-bikes and e-scooters on campus. Maybe you’re also asking: “How do we regulate these emerging modes? What does good policy look like? How do I get my partners on board?” And then, “what does my program look like?” Luckily we’ve got a few leaders in the space on the line to provide some answers, direction, and lessons learned:
- Having recently finalized the University of Utah’s e-device policy, Solomon Brumbaugh, Senior Manager of TDM, will share lessons learned around getting stakeholders on board and navigating the many considerations (and opinions!) that come with e-bikes and e-scooters.
- At Boston University, Carl Larson has built an enviable campus-wide bicycle and scooter registration program that helps address safety concerns around e-devices and batteries. Learn his secrets.
- David Reed, Founder and Principal of SustainMobility, has worked on bike planning and design at universities across the country. He’ll share examples from these projects and help bridge the gap between policy and planning work and a campus where everyone feels comfortable to walk, bike, or roll.
Hosted by the ACT Higher Education Council, event registration is free and open to all. As always, bring your questions for our panelists.
