2026 Board Spotlight: Tanisha Hall
Tanisha Hall is the CEO and Founding Principal of Fairpointe Planning. She is a SEACT Chapter member and serves as an At-Large Director on ACT’s Board. Meet Tanisha in our March spotlight!
Since the late 1990s, Tanisha Hall has served the industry to develop short- or long-term, cost-effective, implementable solutions that improve people's quality of life. Inspired by her own experience with carpooling, transit, biking, and walking, she has dedicated her career to breaking down barriers to implementation through thoughtful policy, planning, and programming.
She has held roles across the field, including Long Range Planning Director at the Tennessee Department of Transportation, where she guided statewide multimodal planning, research, data analysis, freight, and TDM efforts. Her experience also includes serving as Planning and Research Director at the Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC) and leading TDM initiatives with the Atlanta Regional Commission and UrbanTrans Consulting, collaborating closely with TMAs and TMOs to deliver impactful services.
Tanisha says, "I am passionate about removing barriers to transportation and the industry so more people have better access to both. I love finding creative ways to engage people in developing cost-effective solutions to transportation problems. As an entrepreneur, I enjoy building teams from diverse backgrounds, supporting and empowering them to find answers that make sense for the communities we serve."

A dedicated volunteer leader, Tanisha previously served as President of the SEACT Chapter. When an At-Large Director role became available on ACT’s Board of Directors, she stepped forward to serve. A strong believer in ACT’s mission, she is eager to champion the organization and support its continued impact.
Tanisha says, "One of the things I enjoy about this industry is the willingness of TDM professionals to share knowledge and best practices with one another. Each time we share information, the processes improve, and we grow and share new and improved ideas with the next group. Rinse and repeat."
Outside of work, Tanisha spends time on her homestead, raising backyard chickens and cultivating an organic garden, where she enjoys the full cycle from planting to harvest. She is also an avid traveler.
Please join us in welcoming Tanisha to ACT's Board!
