Executive Director's Report December 2023
Greetings!
It’s hard to believe that this newsletter is the final Connections edition of 2023. From nearly record-breaking attendance at this year’s events to the many accomplishments of members, chapters, councils, and committees, our community has much to celebrate. I would like to thank all those who contributed to such a successful year for the association.
At their recent December meeting, ACT’s Board of Directors approved and adopted the 2024 work plan and budget. These guiding documents will play an important role in the advancement of our strategic goals and organizational practices over the upcoming year. Beyond our regularly scheduled programming, highlights include the new West Coast Regional TDM Summit, a return of our Virtual Career Fair, Spring into TDM, and an increased focus on advancing local TDM policies. Over the last few years, ACT has successfully managed its resources to ensure the organization maintained the highest levels of service and value to our membership while reducing risk from the impacts of the pandemic. I wish to thank the Finance Committee and Board of Directors for their efforts in developing and adopting a positive budget for 2024, which reflects continued pragmatism, while seeking to grow our existing programs and make new investments in organization.
I would like to take a moment to recognize the new and reappointed members of ACT’s Board Committees. Each of these individuals is volunteering their time and skills to advance a key aspect of association operations. Their leadership and commitment are greatly appreciated, and the continued interest of our membership to serve in these important roles is a testament to our organization’s strength.
