Introducing ACT's Belonging & Engagement Committee

A new chapter has begun for ACT Committees! The group formerly known as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee will now operate under the title of the Belonging & Engagement Committee.

The committee is charged with identifying the needs, training, and support for ACT members to ensure that the association continually upholds our core values of respect and equal opportunity for all, fostering a culture of meaningful engagement where every member can connect, contribute, and thrive within our organization.

Roz Tucker, President of ACT's Board of Directors, says, "Under their new name, the committee will continue its work to foster a welcoming and thriving environment here at ACT. Every member deserves to meaningfully engage with our community and the many resources and opportunities it provides. Though its title has changed, the core values this committee embodies have not. I look forward to the fresh ideas and renewed commitment to ACT’s mission this next chapter will bring."

Kiki Dohman, Chair of the Belonging & Engagement Committee, says, "The evolution of our committee into the Belonging & Engagement Committee reflects ACT's commitment to creating an organization where every person feels valued and connected. By enhancing belonging, we strengthen our culture of respect while supporting our mission to improve quality of life for all people in our communities."


What's next for the committee?

The committee will continue its work to support ACT's Board of Directors, membership, and mission.
