Riverboat Cruise - Steamboat NATCHEZ

11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. *Group meets at 10:30 a.m. in hotel lobby

Experience a spirit of adventure aboard the newest vessel to the French Quarter riverfront, the Steamboat NATCHEZ as she takes you on a journey down the mighty Mississippi. See captivating views of the French Quarter fade into the distance as the joyful tunes of traditional jazz carries you down the river. Stroll the multiple decks, explore the beautiful refinished interiors and savor the leisurely two-hour cruise that will give you panoramic views of the Mississippi River and the many unique sites along the way, with live narration.

Swamp Tour

8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Join us as we CRUISE the beautiful bayous with towering cypress trees covered with the iconic Spanish moss from the comfort of one of our covered swamp tour boats.

This tour is both highly informative and relaxing, with both seating, shade, and education! Sit back and relax as your local guide educates you on the critters and swamp ecosystem while pointing them out as you go. Many of our captains pack snacks for the gators, so if you’re lucky you just may get to feed some!

New Orleans Bike Ride

9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. *Group meets at 8:45 a.m. in hotel lobby

Embarking from the historic core of the city, the Creole Odyssey traces the city's expansion into its surrounding bayous. Enjoy an extended ride under the shade of regal Live Oak trees as we journey down the opulent Esplanade Ridge. After visiting St. Louis Cemetery #3, you will cruise past swampy vistas in City Park, our largest public park. You'll traverse Bayou St. John, a historic waterway that was used by Native Americans and French settlers alike, and learn why it was so instrumental in our city's founding. 

ACT New Orleans Scavenger Hunt

Get ready to explore New Orleans like never before! ACT invites you to an exciting City Scavenger Hunt designed to connect you with fellow attendees, spark your competitive spirit, and uncover the magic of the Crescent City — all while keeping costs low and the good times rolling.

Tulane University

12:45 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Tulane University (www.tulane.edu) welcomes ACT Conference attendees to a guided walking and driving tour of its uptown and downtown campuses. The tour will highlight Tulane’s transportation operations, including fixed shuttle routes, on-demand services, our motor pool and RIDES programs, fleet management, hurricane evacuation protocols, driver ergonomics, and technology partners.

French Quarter Historical Sights and Stories Walking Tour

1 p.m. to 3 p.m. * Group meets at 12:40 in hotel lobby

Delve into the stories behind the oldest neighborhood in New Orleans during a French Quarter walking tour. Take in famous landmarks including Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, and the Mississippi River, along with lesser-known places of interest. Hear from your guide about the architecture and heritage of the district, and get the inside scoop on recommended places for shopping and dining as well.

NOLA Food Walking Tour

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. *Group meets at 12:40 in hotel lobby

Meet your guide in the heart of the French Quarter to embark on your three-hour walking tour of world-class restaurants and foodie venues. Wander the lively streets of the French Quarter and get an insider's look at the kitchens often seen on food shows and featured in cookbooks. Let your guide know the restaurants you're interested in checking out or perhaps ask your guide to recommend a personal favorite. Indulge in food tastings during your tour. You may have a classic gumbo as a seafood treasure, boudin beignets and other authentic nibbles.
