Workshop - When Driving Isn't An Option - Mobility Access for Nondrivers

40 Items Remaining

The TDM world has historically focused on the mobility of people who have the option to drive themselves to work. But in reality, a third of people in the United States can’t access the privilege of driving ourselves where we need to go. What if the secret to getting more people to choose not to commute alone came from tuning in and listening to what people who already can't drive recommend? Anna Zivarts and collaborators from Disability Rights Washington’s Disability Mobility Initiative will lead a discussion centering the expertise of “involuntary” nondrivers and what we would prioritize to reduce car-dependency and make our transportation systems and our communities work better for everyone.
