Professional Bio

Paul Straw began his career in sustainable transportation in 2010 at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments in Washington, D.C., where he helped oversee the Commuter Connections Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program. This included managing carpool and database systems for a network of local governments, federal agencies, and Transportation Management Associations in the Washington D.C. area. In 2013, he joined GoTriangle, where he transitioned the local TDM partnership to an upgraded platform for Share the Ride NC (STRNC), serving as the system administrator for the website and database, and overseeing the Emergency Ride Home program and GoPerks incentive program. Since 2023, Paul has been a TDM Specialist at Commutifi, focusing on enhancing customer success by centralizing data, identifying inefficiencies, and optimizing transportation demand management programs. He leverages powerful models to measure the impact of current programs and predict the effectiveness of potential new initiatives, ensuring sustainability through comprehensive Scope 3, Category 7 commuting emissions reporting. Paul's work includes increasing program adoption with real-time insights, engaging employees through targeted communications, and helping organizations retain and recruit talent by improving commute experiences.
