Commuting Solutions, of Louisville, Colorado, has received the Excellence in Planning at the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) conference. This award recognizes association members who have taken notable steps to incorporate Transportation Demand Management (TDM) into their transportation and land use planning process. Winners show outstanding work in creating accessible and sustainable transportation infrastructure.

“This group is innovating, expanding commuter transportation options, and leading the industry forward,” said David McMaster, President of the Association for Commuter Transportation. “I am proud to recognize the positive impact that they continue to make for workers, communities, and businesses.”

Commuting Solutions received this award for its groundbreaking work on the newly released Northwest Regional Transportation Demand Management plan. For the past year, Commuting Solutions has worked to prioritize reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality on northwest metro region’s TDM.

“As the industry continues to evolve, TDM strategies and initiatives must change along with it,” said David Straus, Executive Director of the Association for Commuter Transportation. “These awardees are doing so, and actively responding to transportation challenges in a way that increases mobility and access for all people, businesses, and neighborhoods. ACT is honored to celebrate these winners and their exemplary work.”
