Announcing free student memberships
Equipping students to succeed in their future careers
Beginning today, the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) is launching a free student membership program. This initiative aims to expand student access to our community of over 1,400 professionals in the urban planning, sustainability, engineering, mobility, and transportation fields. As a member of the association, students will learn more about these career paths and develop a strong network in these industries.
They will also gain access to the many benefits of ACT's membership, including:
- Professional development
- Networking opportunities
- Industry events
- Webinars
- Membership in a regional chapter
- Ability to join themed councils
- Access to a members-only online discussion platform
“Through this exciting new initiative, students will have greater access to future internships, jobs, and a thriving career,” stated David Straus, ACT’s Executive Director. “We look forward to welcoming them to the association and supporting their professional growth”
Eligibility
To be eligible, students must be enrolled full-time (according to their program) at an accredited higher education institution. Those unsure if they qualify are encouraged to contact ACT at membership@actweb.org.
