Greetings!
As we embrace the end of summer, I am thrilled to share some exciting updates and reflections on recent events.
First and foremost, it was so great to officially announce the kick-off to ACT’s 40th anniversary year during the International Conference! It’s a moment to reflect on our journey, our achievements, and the incredible community that has supported us throughout the years. I encourage you to visit our 40th Anniversary page on our website to view our timeline and share your own bit of ACT history. It was also exciting to unveil our new 40th Anniversary logo, which honors our rich history while communicating our movement to the future. I hope you love it as much as I do!
I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in our recent International Conference. The event was a resounding success, bringing together new thought leaders, experienced practitioners, and strong advocates from around the globe. The energy in the room was intense (especially during the opening masquerade gala) as we shared insights, forged great new connections, and inspired one another to continue our vital work in the field. Thank you to all our speakers, sponsors, and attendees for making this event truly memorable.
If you weren’t able to join us in New Orleans, no worries, our TDM Forum in Portland, Oregon is just around the corner. This event will feature expert panels, interactive workshops, and invaluable networking opportunities focused on innovative strategies for sustainable and equitable transportation. With engaging sessions covering topics like TDM strategies for major events, airport connections, and smarter parking management, there's something for everyone. Take advantage of early bird registration rates and bring a colleague to save even more!
As we look ahead, I want to remind everyone about the ongoing board elections. Your voice matters, and your participation is crucial in shaping the future of ACT. Please take a moment to review the candidates and cast your vote. Together, we can ensure that our leadership reflects the breadth and vision of our community.
Additionally, I’m excited to announce that TDM Week is just around the corner! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to promote and celebrate TDM policies and initiatives that help create sustainable and efficient transportation systems. I encourage everyone to participate in the events planned throughout the week and to share your own TDM successes with our community.
Lastly, I want to highlight the upcoming DC Fly-In. This event will provide us with a platform to advocate for our priorities and engage with policymakers. Your involvement is crucial as we work to influence the next Transportation Reauthorization bill currently in development. Let’s make our voices heard!
