A Note on ACT's 2026-2028 Strategic Plan
An update from Executive Director David Straus
I am delighted to announce that the Board of Directors, at its winter meeting in Phoenix last week, adopted ACT's 2026–2028 Strategic Plan. Developed over the past year by the Strategic Plan Work Group (SPWG), chaired by Connie McGee, it is a thoughtful and forward‑looking roadmap designed to strengthen our community and guide ACT’s work over the next three years. Developed with input from the broader membership, the plan prioritizes focus on three key imperatives that will help ensure ACT remains aligned with the evolving TDM landscape and continues to support the professionals who make our industry thrive.
Imperative 1 focuses on organizational excellence, setting the stage for ACT to assess its mission and vision, enhance governance, modernize systems and technology, and explore new ways to strengthen and diversify revenue so we can better support our members.
Imperative 2 centers on delivering exceptional member experiences, with commitments to expand learning opportunities, strengthen chapters and councils, and build more structured volunteer pathways that help members connect, grow, and lead.
Finally, Imperative 3 reinforces ACT’s role as a trusted industry voice, emphasizing stronger advocacy, expanded research capacity through the Center for TDM, and deeper investment in developing leaders who can shape the future of TDM.
We’re excited to embark on this next chapter together and grateful to everyone who helped shape this plan. A special thanks goes out to SPWG members Roz Tucker, Matt Meservy, Caitlin Styrczula, Courtney Menjivar, and Dan O’Donnell for their time and energy on this important initiative.
A copy of our adopted strategic imperatives can be viewed here. In the coming months, more details on timelines and metrics will be finalized and shared with the membership.
